Our guestbook was opened just a few days ago. Many entries would help us in these sad hours, as we hope, that you, dear reader, would have had many good memorable experiences with our father / husband, just as we are very grateful for everything he has done for us. - Many thanks from our hearts for the personal words with which we and others are being comforted by those that have already shared their thoughts here. It is such a diversity, from loving details about our father and husband - that made us smile despite our grief, seeing what you saw, when he was still alive - to heartfealt words of condolence that help us handle the loss in another way. In any way, THANK YOU for sharing and helping in such a personal and thoughtful way!!!

to you and your children our heartfelt sympathy. Many wonderful memories will always connect us to you, Joachim, beautiful Ariane and handsome Karsten. Your children will be of great comfort to you now.
Joachim was a gentlema's gentleman and will stay in our memory forever.The polo years and wonderful gatherings at your home which he too enjoed a lot. Our time at the horsshow inthe park (loblaws Classic) with many of your relatives from Germany, those are all memories we treasure. May God give you strenth for the days to come.

Hi Ariane, thank you so much for letting me know about your father's passing, and I am so sorry for your loss. I know fathers have a special hold on their daughters, and you will miss him immensely. After I lost my Dad a few years ago, I have been quite surprised how strongly and profoundly I still feel him with me...I guess that connection transcends anything.

Ariane, my heart goes out to you and to your family.
Losing a parent is something I can’t even begin to imagine. Even as an adult, I’m sure that you still have always felt like ‘Daddy’s little girl’…to lose that precious person who can make you feel special in a way only a father can, and with whom you have such special memories, would be like saying goodbye to a part of yourself. I am so sorry for your loss.
